Dr. Jose T. Vallejos, MD, is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician (PCP - Primary Care). He has relocated his practice to our clinic and is now accepting new patients who seek a doctor who truly partners with them in their healthcare journey. Born in Central America, Dr. Vallejos migrated to Dallas at the age of five and was raised in the local community. He graduated as Salutatorian of his high school class and earned a full scholarship to the University of Dallas, where he majored in Biochemistry. During college, he volunteered at his church as a catechist, demonstrating his early commitment to serving others. He married his high school sweetheart before attending medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he received the prestigious Carl J. Ferzog Endowment.
Dr. Vallejos believes that providing exceptional care involves being available to patients, listening to their concerns, always acting in their best interest, and above all, being truthful with them. After completing a year of anesthesiology residency in San Antonio, he discovered his true passion was caring for patients and managing their chronic medical conditions. He completed his internal medicine residency at Louisiana State University, where he learned to provide compassionate care through attentive listening and patient-centered treatment approaches.
As a primary care physician, Dr. Jose T. Vallejos specializes in sports medicine, including joint injections, minor surgical and dermatological procedures, and the treatment of all chronic medical conditions. He utilizes the latest medical technology to ensure comprehensive, up-to-date care. Fluent in Spanish, he welcomes Spanish-speaking patients and ensures language is never a barrier to receiving quality healthcare. His patient-centered approach focuses on preventing chronic disease and achieving optimal wellness through open communication and shared decision-making.
Following residency, Dr. Vallejos joined a private practice in the White Rock area where he practiced traditional internal medicine and was selected to serve as department chair of the Internal Medicine Department at White Rock Hospital. He joins our practice to bring his compassionate care, dedication, and extensive experience to help care for our patients.
Dr. Vallejos and his wife have two beautiful daughters and several needy dogs. Outside of medicine, he loves spending time with his family, reading, traveling, coaching soccer, and giving back to his community through volunteer work. Hablo español con fluidez y me encantaría ser su médico y ayudarle en su atención.
